Accessibility Statement

WePlaceYou is committed to ensuring our Platform is accessible to everyone, including people with disability. Finding work, building skills and hiring should be open to all Australians, regardless of ability.

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, and to fulfil our obligations under the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (Cth).

We have built the Platform with accessibility in mind. Features include:

• Semantic, keyboard-navigable interfaces that work without a mouse.
• Visible focus indicators and a logical tab order.
• Colour contrast that meets WCAG AA for text and interface elements.
• Descriptive alternative text for meaningful images.
• Labels and instructions on all form fields, with clear error messages.
• Support for screen readers including NVDA, JAWS and VoiceOver.
• Resizable text up to 200% without loss of content or function.
• Respect for reduced-motion preferences.

The Platform is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 AA. "Partially conformant" means some content may not yet fully meet the standard — usually older pages or third-party components.

Known limitations

• Some PDF documents uploaded by employers may not be fully tagged for screen readers.
• A small number of legacy data tables are being updated to improve screen-reader navigation.
• Certain third-party embedded content (e.g. maps) may not meet all criteria.

We are actively working to resolve these and prioritise fixes based on user impact.

Your browser and operating system include tools that work across the Platform:

• Increase text size with Ctrl/Cmd and + (plus).
• Enable high-contrast or dark mode in your OS display settings.
• Turn on screen magnification or a screen reader.
• Enable "reduce motion" to minimise animations.
